These 5 Super Lifted UTVs Have Us Genuinely Confused

Have you ever taken your UTV out only to end up feeling slightly inadequate?

If that’s you, there’s a chance you spend your time running with guys that need a step ladder to get behind the wheel. Not because they're short, mind you, but because their rides are super tall.

While our staff knows there’s a time and a place for a UTV lift kit, we have also run into some crazy rides like these that we're a little confused by. To be honest, these super lifted UTVs are excessive and crazy… unless you’re a girl, in which case these lifted UTVs are like a peacock shaking its 24” chrome tail feathers.

Let’s see what you think.

1. Polaris SXS Wearing 40s

Our first example is this Polaris SXS fitted with 24s clad in 40s. It’s the proud work of @noe_fadez on Instagram. When questioned by a buddy online, he confirms that it didn’t require any gear reduction or portals to achieve, which is just about as crazy as the final product itself.

2. Tweety’s Tire

First of all, if you are taking your UTV to someone named Tweety, you know it’s going to be a good time. Second, look at this massive UTV from a practical perspective. This vehicle is up so high; we are pretty sure you would need to do some gymnastics to get inside. But hey, you could cancel your gym membership.

3. Playing in the Water

While we aren’t opposed to lifting a UTV, we have to wonder what the purpose of this was. Did the owner do all that work to play in a few inches of water? We can think of some way better things to do with it for sure. Maybe shorten the daily commute by a few minutes and knock some Priuses off the road as a bonus?

4. Puddles of Mud

Do us a favor: if you plan to spend a good chunk of change to lift your UTV, let it live up to its image. Drive it through some dense mud or across rough terrain. Please, whatever you do, don’t lift your ride and then play in puddles 2 inches deep. This would be much cooler if it had been used to do some crazy stuff.

5. Ready for Anything

This last crazy lifted UTV looks like it’s ready to take on anything. One thing that would have made this buggy look even cooler would have been some wider aggressive tires. Also, the hashtags make us wonder. What do you think?

Is There a Reason to Lift a UTV This High?

After seeing these, you might wonder why the owners didn’t just leave well enough alone. After all, most UTVs are designed to tackle off-road environments and provide plenty of fun as they are; why mess with it?

Just like a Jeep Wrangler can bring lots of enjoyment to its owner, a lifted, beefed up version can be even better. So it goes with UTVs. You can settle for generic, or you can make something unique and thrilling. And as much fun as we've had poking fun at these crazy lifted UTVs, we love anything that someone puts their heart and soul into, even if it's not what we would do ourselves.

With that said, here are the three main reasons you might want to consider a UTV lift kit.

  1. You want the machine to look more beastly. Let’s face it; when done right, it only makes you look better.

  2. You want to install bigger tires. You know, to run over stuff with. See #1.

  3. You want more ground clearance. According to science, ground clearance is directly proportional to sexual expertise. Again, see #1.

If any of those apply to you, then it might be time to consider installing a lift kit.

Just do us one favor, will you?

Don’t go too crazy. Otherwise, you might end up on a future roundup of ours showcasing super lifted UTVs that are weird and slightly out of control.
