Completing Forms

Your checklist are custom-made for your order. The items listed on your checklist represent everything we need to complete your order. We cannot proceed without everything on the checklist.

Your forms are prefilled with your information. In most cases, all you will need to do is sign. Please verify the pre-filled information for accuracy.

DO NOT CROSS ANYTHING OUT. If a mistake is found or made on a form, contact us for a new copy.

Uploading Documents

Documents must be uploaded using our Document Upload Portal that you logged into after placing your order.

UPLOAD DOCUMENTS

Mailing Documents

If any documents need to be mailed to us (typically the ownership doc/title), we’ll review what you’ve uploaded first, then email you a pre-paid shipping label.

When you are ready to mail, you can use any sized envelope for shipping. Drop off the envelope at any UPS store, CVS, Staples, UPS drop box, or any location shown here. Allow 2 days for us to receive your documents via UPS.

SEE DROPOFF LOCATIONS

If you don't want to use our label, mail to the address listed on the shipping label. If you are providing your own shipping label, we highly recommend sending it with tracking and emailing us the tracking number to prevent it from being lost.

Once we receive your forms, we will contact you within 1 business day. You can reference the tracking number provided on your shipping label at any point to see if we have received your documents.

Sit back, relax, and we’ll take it from here! Once you have submitted all of your documents, our customer service team will reach out if we have any additional questions or needs regarding your order.

We will email you with a status update once we have received your documents. We will email you again once we have processed your paperwork and sent it to the DMV.

The timeframe for completing your order will vary based on the state and process, the proof of ownership provided, and the complexity of your situation. If there are any delays, we will contact you.

Welcome to the Document Guide! We are here to walk you through the process of gathering documents, completing forms, and getting everything to the team here at Dirt Legal.

To get you going as soon as possible, this guide should take about 15 minutes.

Here are some things you should know before we get started:

  • The forms you have received are prefilled with your information. We will explain exactly what you need to do with each document, step-by-step. In most cases, all you will need to do is sign.

  • You can always navigate back to a specific document using the navigation menu at the top of the guide.

  • You only need to provide the items listed on your checklist. If we don’t ask for it, don’t worry about it!

Items with an upload symbol can be scanned and uploaded directly to us. You will be given the chance to upload any eligible documents at the end of this guide.

Items with a mailbox symbol must be mailed to us per DMV requirements. You will learn how to mail them to us at the end of this guide using the prepaid shipping label sent to you via email.
