What if I don’t have a title OR bill of sale?

The DMV will AT LEAST need a bill of sale to prove that you acquired the vehicle lawfully.

If you do not have a bill of sale, you will have to sell the vehicle to someone and then buy it back from them, and then have them write you a bill of sale. This could be a friend or family member.

You will now have a bill of sale and can proceed to register your vehicle using our services.

While this may seem too easy…

The truth is the DMV doesn’t care where the bill of sale came from as long as the vehicle isn’t stolen.

If you’re in this situation, just make sure you include all the necessary info on the bill of sale, including the vehicle make, model, and VIN.
